Program Coordinator – Adilabad (This position is already CLOSED)

Title: Program Coordinator

Location: Adilabad, Telangana (including extensive travel across the district)

 About ‘I DO’

‘I DO’ is a for-impact organization which aims to accelerate the transformation of India by creating social leaders, and supporting them towards collaboration with like-minded people. It comprises of a young team of PMRDFs and professionals from diverse fields who are alumnus of IITs, BITS-Pilani, FMS-Delhi etc.

 Program Description

The program aims at empowering the village community of Adilabad district through various tools (Entitlements awareness meetings, Social audits etc) to bridge the gaps in last mile delivery of government programs with regards to maternal and child health and nutrition. The project runs in collaboration with the district administration of Adilabad.

Position Description

We are looking for an empathetic and energetic professional with leadership skills to lead this initiative. Key responsibilities include:

-Design the strategy and implement the project to achieve program outcomes.

-Lead the project on the ground including recruitment, capacity building, monitoring & evaluation of the field functionaries.

-Mobilizing the village community for successful implementation of programs related to maternal and child health and nutrition

-Design and customize plans to improve health outcomes, in target areas.

-Coordinate with relevant departments of the district administration.

-Forging partnerships with related organizations like NIN, School of Health Systems, TISS, Ekjut etc.

-Periodic reporting to the health department, District Collector, District Welfare officer and the reporting officer.

-Constantly strive to enhance the effectiveness & efficiency of the program.

Required Skills/Traits

-A good team player, openness to learning new things, ability to work in challenging conditions etc.

-Excellent communication skill both in verbal (English and Telugu) and written (English).

-Expertise in MS-Office and other online tools necessary for professional communication.

Preferred Skills

-Knowledge about Public Health & related experience would be an added advantage.

-Prior experience of working with different field functionaries like ASHA, Anganwadi Worker, villagers, traditional tribal heads, PRI members, government officials etc.

-Knowledge of tribal context & sensitivities.

-Language proficiency in Telugu.
